Mixx Zine Issue 5 – Sailor Moon Manga Magazine

February 25, 2013 by Lance Heiskell Leave a Comment

Not much to say with the 1998 issues of Mixx Zine. Just a lot of b-boyz publishing a manga mag towards girls. Lots overuse of photoshop, starburts and the color hot pink.Highlights:I still don't understand MixxMoney - not explained that well. You have to be a subscriber to earn MixxMoney - so all the newstand readers are screwed. There is no real way to tracking what … [Read more...] about Mixx Zine Issue 5 – Sailor Moon Manga Magazine

Mixx Zine Manga Magazine – Sailor Moon Video Game and Oh So ’90s – February 1998

February 10, 2013 by Lance Heiskell Leave a Comment

The '90s was full of hot pink, black, blue and purple, gradients and starburts. Tokyopop/MixxZine was the epitome of this look. The 1998 issues of Mixx Zine are a wankfest of photoshop layers, gradients and effects.I really don't understand the editorial in all these issues. A female oriented manga magazine with all all the voice of b-boys who, in the credits page are "just … [Read more...] about Mixx Zine Manga Magazine – Sailor Moon Video Game and Oh So ’90s – February 1998

Practice Makes Awesome

A Few Tips Upon Reading

First off, find a secluded area and pour yourself a beverage of choice. You must cleanse the palate to take in the delicacies of the nostalgia I'm about to throw down.

Second, if it’s cold where you live, grab a blanket, maybe two. If at all possible, sit down while reading. I hate standing, never stood for it, never will.

Finally, see if you can find the encrypted message left in the third magazine post.
