I did not know that Rurouni Kenshin and Samuai X released around the same time. I never got into that series.FINALLY a decent ad from Pioneer. Big image, unique logo placement and that's it. Animerica – Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon Magazine Cover – Ronin Warriors – Devil Hunter Yohko – December 1995

First Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon cover for Animerica. This is my favorite issue so far because of the 1985-1995 Anime: Then and Now article and the Animessages with messages written by each of the US anime releasing companies. I normally don't scan articles, but these two had so much perspective.I really urge you to read both pieces. They are great snapshots in … [Read more...] about Animerica – Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon Magazine Cover – Ronin Warriors – Devil Hunter Yohko – December 1995

3x3 Eyes is on the cover this month. What to talk about in this issue?Maison Ikkoku manga chapter was good. One of the first manga series I purchase all the volumes. The Suncoast "Action Packed Anime" ad is the quintessential mid 90's ad design scheme. Full page starburst with lots of primary colors. It's like they are channeling "Saved By The Bell"1st Streamline … [Read more...] about Animerica Magazine – Streamline Pictures, SoftCel Ads – 3×3 Eyes Cover October 1995

Animerica – Record of Lodoss War – Tokyo Bablyon – US Renditions – Guyver – April 1995

Ears to another good issue of Animerica. Record of Lodoss War is on the cover. In this issue, CPM's US Manga Corp is taking Manga's subtitle premium pricing model and use it on Tokyo Babylon. English Subtitled VHS $29.95, English Dub $19.95. English dubs are expensive to produce so I keep wondering what was the logic to charge less for the English dub.I counted 14 … [Read more...] about Animerica – Record of Lodoss War – Tokyo Bablyon – US Renditions – Guyver – April 1995

Practice Makes Awesome

A Few Tips Upon Reading

First off, find a secluded area and pour yourself a beverage of choice. You must cleanse the palate to take in the delicacies of the nostalgia I'm about to throw down.

Second, if it’s cold where you live, grab a blanket, maybe two. If at all possible, sit down while reading. I hate standing, never stood for it, never will.

Finally, see if you can find the encrypted message left in the third magazine post.
