Animerica - Anime and Manga Monthly Volume 5, No. 6. Street Fighter II CoverHighlights:How about a copycat ad to start this issue? Who remembers Art of Fighting anime? The design and logo looks familiar to another anime about street fighters... I also think this US Manga Corp ad has the first Edited release marketed for kids. It's for Battle Arena Toshiden - "Edited … [Read more...] about Animerica – First Anime DVD Ad – Ghost in The Shell- ADV – June 1997

The first of many Dragon Ball Z covers for Animerica. This one is "The World..From A to Z"DBZ scans I wanted to share: The first Dragonball Z broadcast ad. DBZ was first in syndication through Saban Network For Kids. Syndication in the 90's as you see in the ad was as different times. There was no Sundays at 9:30 E/P. Syndication was not guaranteed nationwide … [Read more...] about Animerica – Dragon Ball Z – FUNimation – Manga Video – November 1996

Animerica – Sailor Moon – Suncoast Video – MD Geist – August 1996

The second and certainly not the last cover for Sailor Moon.Lots of Sailor Moon in this issue but I mainly wanted to point out the Sailor Moon puns, gadget list and Japanese and English names for the Sailor Moon Special Attacks.I really cringe at 90's marketing. Case in point: Suncoast Video. "Futons. Karate. Sushi. They never prepared you for this Japanese custom." At … [Read more...] about Animerica – Sailor Moon – Suncoast Video – MD Geist – August 1996

Practice Makes Awesome

A Few Tips Upon Reading

First off, find a secluded area and pour yourself a beverage of choice. You must cleanse the palate to take in the delicacies of the nostalgia I'm about to throw down.

Second, if it’s cold where you live, grab a blanket, maybe two. If at all possible, sit down while reading. I hate standing, never stood for it, never will.

Finally, see if you can find the encrypted message left in the third magazine post.
