Animerica - Anime and Manga Monthly Volume 5, No. 6. Street Fighter II CoverHighlights:How about a copycat ad to start this issue? Who remembers Art of Fighting anime? The design and logo looks familiar to another anime about street fighters... I also think this US Manga Corp ad has the first Edited release marketed for kids. This month's issue's cover is a show that I've never heard of before: Battle Arena Toshiden. So for Animerica to game the system, they put a "Hey Sailor Moon News!" call out on the cover. "The Doom Tree Series" Take a look at the illustration - it looks … [Read more...] about Animerica April 1997 – Sailor Moon DIC VHS The Doom Tree Series Box Set – Cover Battle Arena Toshiden Volume 5 – Number 4

The Vision of Escaflowne is one of my top 5 favorite anime series. The focus of this month is the Apollo Smile 2 page interview by Carl Gustov Horn (currently Manga Editor at Dark Horse Comics). I remember her from the Sci-Fi channel Anime block and my sister talking about her from cons. She was a pioneer. She branded herself as "Live-Action Anime Girl" If you remember the … [Read more...] about Animerica – Apollo Smile – Vision of Escaflowne – March 1997

Practice Makes Awesome

A Few Tips Upon Reading

First off, find a secluded area and pour yourself a beverage of choice. You must cleanse the palate to take in the delicacies of the nostalgia I'm about to throw down.

Second, if it’s cold where you live, grab a blanket, maybe two. If at all possible, sit down while reading. I hate standing, never stood for it, never will.

Finally, see if you can find the encrypted message left in the third magazine post.
