Shamonic_Princess

It's rare to see a "Dub That Time Forgot" make the cover. Shamanic Princess was released by Media Blasters under their U.S. Manga Corps label.  Here's their trailer for the series:The odd thing about having this title on the cover is that there's a 5 page Cardcaptor Sakura spotlight article that gives you an overview of the show. Perhaps CLAMP didn't authorize a … [Read more...] about Animerica Cardcaptor Sakura, Digimon & Sailor Moon TV – Nov 2000

So much mecha in one magazine! The History of Mecha Anime Part 1 is the highlight.I bought the majority of Gasaraki at Movie Trading Company as used singles. I might have bought one new. It was a confusion show at times. Not one I'd rewatch. The mecha was cool - the Votoms guy Ryosuke Takahashi worked on it. I should have read this spotlight article, lots of nuance gets … [Read more...] about History of Mecha Anime – Gasaraki – Gundam Wing Endless Waltz – Animerica October 2000

This month's highlight are a few articles on Nobuhiro Watsuki's Rurouni Kenshin. The first goes over the OVA series released as Samurai X:  Trust and Betrayal in the US.  I haven't watch this series, but I have seen well over 10 anime music videos encapsulating the drama at various anime conventions. Samurai emo. The second article goes over the historical context. Rurouni … [Read more...] about Rurouni Kenshin History – Mitsuhisa Ishikawa Production I.G. Interview – Animercia September 2000

Practice Makes Awesome

A Few Tips Upon Reading

First off, find a secluded area and pour yourself a beverage of choice. You must cleanse the palate to take in the delicacies of the nostalgia I'm about to throw down.

Second, if it’s cold where you live, grab a blanket, maybe two. If at all possible, sit down while reading. I hate standing, never stood for it, never will.

Finally, see if you can find the encrypted message left in the third magazine post.
